A captivating and adventurous novel with a diverse cast of characters. Lois Snelling (1893-1988) was a longtime resident of Benton County and the city of Rogers in northwest Arkansas. She was the author of three other juvenile mysteries, all of which are set in the Ozark region of Arkansas: Treasure in the Valley (1958), Strange Case at Willowood (1959), and Secret of the Red Gourd (1961).
