Stated First Printing of this 1947 First Edition Maine classic. The book is bound in orange cloth with title and author in black on the spine .Corners are lightly bumped. Spine caps softened with a .25" closed tear on the heel. Light foxing on the bottom edges and sprinkling of foxing on the top and fore-edges. There is small area of spilled blue ink on the top edges near the spine that is also visible internally. Profusely illustrated with line drawings in black and white. Inscribed by Robert and Peggy Coffin on the first free endpaper. 333 pages. Please see all images.

Operating through a retail outlet located at 200 Maine St. in Brunswick and through its on-line sales activities, Curtis Friends operates only with volunteers from the local community and sells only those books donated by its constituents. Curtis Friends has been in existence for several decades.
