About this Item

The chess table was built by Carter and later sold at a Carter Center Auction in 2013. The letter writer also tells President Carter that the Greenville Woodworkers Guild, of which he belongs, has contributed numerous items to Habitat for Humanity. President Carter responds to the letter with the correct dimensions, and a note to the author: "To Frederick - Thanks - I'll keep your offer in mind - Best Wishes, Jimmy." This lot includes the full magazine, the letter sent to President Carter, the return envelope and the annotated drawings of the chess table. Seller Inventory # 11251
