4to. Stab-stapled. Unpaginated (18pp. printed on rectos only). Artist's book, presumably privately printed, with an original hand-painted front cover, three short texts, and visual work (one of the pieces with some hand-colouring), a little like duplicator experiments found in concrete/sound/visual poetry although not obviously from that lineage. Smith has signed the inside back cover ('Phil S.') and added the numbering '22 to 1/75' (the same as on another copy listed), suggesting perhaps a time/date or the edition size. (The year 1974 is given on the first sheet.) A blotch next to his name (also impressed onto the facing side) might be deliberate. Very Good, lightly rubbed, the corners gently bumped and occasionally with minor creasing, the blank back cover with a tiny chip to the head edge. Brief pencil marking to the front upper corner, and a pencilled price on the next sheet. A faintly mysterious publication, this copy with the neat ownership stamp of Ron Silliman. Correspondence from Smith to Silliman from 1974 to 1975 is among the latter's papers at UC San Diego. Seller Inventory # 003698
