Nach zw�lfj�hriger T�tigkeit als Heilp�dagoge und Sonderschullehrer wurde Max Bolliger 1969 freier Schriftsteller. Bis 1994 wirkte er als Lehrbeauftragter am Primarlehrerseminar Z�rich und als Mitarbeiter beim Schweizer Fernsehen. Mit dem Erscheinen seines ersten Kinderbuchs "Murrli" (1958) wurde er zum erfolgreichen Kinder- und Jugendbuchautor. F�r seine kindgerechten Bearbeitungen religi�ser und biblischer Stoffe wurde Max Bolliger mehrfach geehrt, zuletzt 1994 mit dem Ehrendoktor der Theologischen Fakult�t der Universit�t Z�rich� (HLS).
