Add to basketFirst edition, first printing, inscribed by the author on the title page, "To Clive Hirschhorn, Arthur Miller". This screenplay was published the same year as the film, and was adapted from Miller's 1984 one-act play Some Kind of Love Story. It was the last film directed by Karel Reisz before his death in 2002 and starred Debra Winger and Nick Nolte. This copy is from the theatre collection of Clive Hirschhorn (b. 1940), who spent decades as the film and theatre critic for the Sunday Express. His various histories of Hollywood include The Warner Bros. Story (1978) and The Hollywood Musical (1981). His ownership note is on the front wrapper verso, dated May 1990. Octavo. With photographs by David James. Original pictorial wrappers, lettered in black, blue, and red. Price sticker on rear cover. Wrappers sunned, crease to lower outer corner, a few spots of foxing to top edge: a very good copy.
