FLAT-SIGNED by author on the title page. Original owner's pastedown label on interior of front cover, elsewise a like-new, bright, clean, tight copy sans flaws in a MYLAR PROTECTIVE COVER. "Wings Over Cape Cod" is a chronological narrative of the Chatham Naval Air Station covering its activities both in World War I and in the immediate post-war period. It features a look at the men who manned the base, the environment they lived in and the equipment they had to work wth - fragile planes, temperamental blimps and kite balloons that swayed with the winds." PROFUSELY ILLUSTRATED in archival black & white photography with accompanying descriptive captions. "The book covers far more than just Cape Cod and its adjacent waters. It is the story of naval aviation in New England during the years 1917 through 1922." 190 pages. LRS2.
