Hardcover. Unpaginated, about forty pages, fullpage color illustration throughout, not always with text (Greenfield writes in simple blank verse). Hardbound in 9x11 inch oblong laminated boards decorated in color and enclosed in the dust jacket. An excellent copy, really as-new: perfectly sound, clean and unmarked. The African American author was born in Parmele, North Carolina, grew up in DC. Children's point of view throughout world history, featuring various ethnologies, from ancient times (sixth century is specified as 'ancient') to US gunships in Vietnam.
