Condition: About Fine. Signed limited edition of 1000, published the same year as the first trade edition, this copy #525. With a frontispiece and 3 woodcut illustrations by J.J. Lankes, each signed by Lankes in pencil. Quarter bound in semi-glossy green buckram with titles in gold, over paper-covered boards decorated in an autumnal leaf motif. Frost's 6th book of poems, containing the eponymous poem, "Spring Pools," "On Going Unnoticed," "Once By the Pacific," and "Acquainted with the Night," et. al. The covers are very clean and bright, with a slight touch of rippling along the spine and the slightest bits of wear to the spine head and heel its only very minor flaws. The text appears essentially unread, the binding very tight, with only the faintest of offsetting on the woodcut tissue guards. Housed in a VG slipcase with light edge and corner wear and a few unobtrusive tape repairs along the bottom. A lovely production from one of America's most celebrated 20th century poets, winner of an unprecedented 4 Pulitzer Prizes. Seller Inventory # 396
