Signed Limited Edition of 200 copies, this copy No.E60, Signed by Arthur Charles Valerian Wellesley, the 9th Duke of Wellington to letter bound in dated 18th June 2015. 2 volumes in presentation box. The box itself is a hand crafted, wooden writing slope, designed to replicate the traditional travelling desk that an officer would have taken on the campaign lined with red felt in lovely near fine condition. Vol 1- text volume xxxi + pp470 with over 200 prints, maps, diagrams and facsimile documents bound in chocolate calf, with raised bands and gold lettering to the spine embroidered with titles in sliver and red, white and blue flags in fine condition. Inside all pages with full edge gilt in beautiful fine condition. Vol 2- campaign map portfolio bound in same chocolate leather with gilt titles and 5 raised bands to spine in fine condition. Inside red silk pockets containing 10 maps on 6 fold-outs all in fine condition. This magnificent volume was highly commended twice at the British Book Awards and has since gone on the win both the Short Run and Supreme Awards at the Print Design and Marketing Awards. A very heavy book that will require additional postage charges overseas. Scarce.
