A splendid tribute to the stunning beauty of these remarkable endangered animals, with striking duotone photographs by award-winning photographers Cyril Christo and Marie Wilkinson. Inscribed by both authors on the title page: "To ____, / 'They're the last individuals' / Romain Gary / The Roots / of Heaven 1958 / Cyril Christo. Marie Wilkinson."
