Octavo (22cm); cornflower blue paper-covered boards and navy blue cloth backstrip, with titling and author's initials stamped in gilt on spine and front cover; dustjacket; [xii],[3],4-159,[5]pp. Signed twice by the author first on the front endpaper, and again on the title page, above his printed name. Four tiny spots to upper edge of textblock, else very Near Fine in like dustjacket, unclipped (priced $9.95), with a trivial wrinkle to upper spine panel. Carver's third collection of short fiction, and the one that propelled him to national fame. His most enduring stories are here, including the title story, "Tell the Women We're Going," "So Much Water So Close to Home," and "Why Don't You Dance?".
