Limited edition. A Visit to Morin was first published in the London Magazine and this is one of only 250 copies to have been printed. This is an interesting copy as it comes from the private collection of the the actor Paul Scofield. There is an inscription from the author to Scofield, whom he greatly admired, on the front free end paper 'For Paul with love, from Graham, Christmas 1960'. Publisher's original green cloth binding with title in gilt on spine. In original unclipped dust jacket Dust jacket good with wear to top edge, creasing and very small tears. Discolouration to spine and top of front cover. Slight foxing to front and back cover. Binding is fine. Pages bright and clean with minimal foxing to front and back end papers. This is one of 13 books / plays inscribed to Paul Scofield from their authors and 1 of 18 Greene first editions along with other books from Scofield's private collection that are on sale through this bookseller. This includes many first editions signed and given to him by the authors as well as working copies of the many plays he performed in. There is a nice collection of books relating to his role as Sir Thomas More in the 1966 play 'A Man for all Seasons' We've tried to give as much detail as possible on the condition of our books but are more than happy to send more photos if required.
