Condition: About Fine. 1st edition, stated 1st printing with the full number line. Square 4to. size., 304 pp. Blue cloth boards with gilt front cover and spine titles. Dean Porter's comprehensive catalogue accompanying the traveling exhibition of Victor Higgins' work to six American museums, 1991-92. The book celebrates Higgins' contribution to Southwestern art specifically, and American art generally, of the first half of the 20th century. Signed by the author on the title page. Over 400 illustrations throughout the text, including 130 color plates, comprising a selected Catalogue Raisonne. The book's only flaw is a slight bump to the upper left cover corner near the spine which has slightly ramified into the early pages of the prelims, otherwise the book is as-new. Housed in a fine dj with very slight wrinkling at the upper spine. In uncertain economic times, what better way to invest your hard-earned money than in items of lasting value you can hold in hand and enjoy.
