Dean Porter's comprehensive catalogue accompanying the traveling exhibition of Victor Higgins' work to six American museums, 1991-92. The book celebrates Higgins' contribution to Southwestern art specifically, and American art generally, of the first half of the 20th century. Signed by the author on the title page. Over 400 illustrations throughout the text, including 130 color plates, comprising a selected Catalogue Raisonne. The book's only flaw is a slight bump to the upper left cover corner near the spine which has slightly ramified into the early pages of the prelims, otherwise the book is as-new. Housed in a fine dj with very slight wrinkling at the upper spine.
