Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. Equally attractive unclipped wrapper, ($19.95), has a touch of toning to edges but is fresh and bright with no creasing, chipping or tears. Inscribed and signed on the title page to Otto Penzler, legendary editor and publisher, founder of the Mysterious Press and proprietor of the famed Mysterious Bookshop in New York City. "To Carolyn & Otto, Thanks for the Afternoon! Hope you hit a home run, have a slam dunk, score a TD - Good luck in your new venture. Best wishes, Jim Valvano". Carolyn was Otto's second wife. The "new venture" referred to may have been the launch of teh Otto Penzler Books imprint. A very pretty collectable copy and any signed copies are quite scarce as Coach Valvano died two years after the book's publication. This is a terrific association and naturally unique.
