SIGNED FIRST EDITION. Octavo. 368 pp. Book Condition: Very Good. Jacket Condition: Fair. Red cloth with black titles to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Cover cloth lightly edge rubbed. Dust wrapper creased, nicked and torn with loss of spine remaining covers protected inside transparent sleeve. Signed by the author to ffep with date 1941. The author (1890-1946) was awarded the DSO and Military Cross for his exploits as a gunner in the First World War then became involved with Fascist organisations and Scottish Nationalism in the inter-war period. He was a prolific author of both military history and adventure novels and also worked as a freelance journalist.
