A fine copy in a near-fine and unclipped dustjacket. First printing--(With "salt port" instead of "salt pork" on page 134) tight and clean throughout with no evidence of previous ownership--Signed by Ambrose on the half title page--signature only without inscriptions. A tight unmarked copy in fine condition--the dustjacket is near-fine with the very lightest of a rub to the panels or would also be fine. One of the great reads of the last 50 years--fiction or non-fiction--the story of Lewis and Clark and of our true American pioneers--the Indians--is tremendously rewarding to read. A superb copy.
