Brown cloth with titles in gilt; 12mo; 55pp; illustrated with b/w photos & drawings; red photographic dust jacket; 5th printing. Instructional book on tying primarily dry flies in the famed "Catskill" style. He discusses tools, hackles, wing & body materials and effective patterns all interspersed with Rube Cross anecdotes and fishing talk. Book in good condition with end papers lightly foxed, o/w internally clean; slightly worn dust jacket. The author's 1st book, bearing a signed presentation on the front free endpaper along with owner's inked name. Cross signed very few books-an uncommon find.
