A first edition, first printing of Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights by Salman Rushdie, published by Jonathan Cape, London in 2015. A near fine copy, signed by the author on the half-title page, free from internal inscriptions or marks, with clean, bright pages and a firm binding. In a near fine unclipped dust wrapper, showing only very light handling wear, with colours strong and no tears or loss. Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights is Rushdie’s eleventh novel, a playful and philosophical work drawing on The Thousand and One Nights, blending fantasy, contemporary politics, and metaphysical satire. Written during his later period, it reflects Rushdie’s continued interest in myth, storytelling, and the clash between reason and belief, and forms part of the modern run of signed Rushdie first editions.

Store description
I began selling books as a way to share my love and passion for collecting books with other people. I enjoy hunting for special editions, completing sets or building out a library of particular authors. The selling to me, is as enjoyable as the collecting itself. What started as a side project has since grown into a genuine passion for sourcing, researching, and sharing collectible books with fellow readers and collectors. I’m especially drawn to rare and interesting editions, first printings, and the satisfaction of completing author runs or series. Every book I list is handled with the same care and curiosity I’d want for my own shelves. I’m a strong believer in transparency. I photograph books from every angle so you know exactly what you’re getting — no surprises, no vague descriptions. I also take pride in careful packaging and presentation, because receiving a book should feel like part of the experience, not just a transaction. I’m always happy to chat about listings, bundles, shipping options, or anything else — and can almost always make something work. Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or requests. …
