Octavo, 75pp. A crisp, clean copy, about fine, in a near fine dust jacket, a tinge foxed. SIGNED by Clifford in the year of publication on the front free endpaper. A short self-published novel centered around the sinking of the Titanic. A gift inscription from one "J. Hodges" to one "E. A. Rutter," dated in the year of publication, is also on the front free endpaper. This is almost certainly John Hodges, who also wrote a self-published novel about the Titanic, inspired by truye events, and with a Foreword authored by Ellen Mary Walker, a woman who was certain that she had been conceived on the Titanic, being born about nine months after the sinking, her mother having been aboard the ship, and her father having gone down with it. According to information sourced online, both Hodges and Clifford worked at the same publishing house in London at the time of publication.
