Signed, dated, and inscribed by Smith to Bill Ewert: "For William Ewert / with every good wish -- / William Jay Smith / 23 September 1974." Book with light foxing fore-edge, else book in fine condition; dust jacket with light rubbing, a couple tiny indentations along the back spine fold, and a short soft vertical crease at the bottom front flap, else fine. William B. Ewert, Publisher, of Concord, NH, 1978-2001. Among the poets whose work is most frequently represented are William Heyen, May Sarton, Donald Hall, Galway Kinnell, John Updike, and W. D. Snodgrass, while Barry Moser and Mary Azarian are among the artists whose work is included.
