Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book has minor bumping to the spine ends. The dust jacket shows some general shelf wear. Overall a very nice, tight copy. (See pictures). The book is inscribed by the author: "For Brian, with love and best wishes for an open future built on the past" and is signed and dated "Oct 2000". This book was a personal copy owned by the author Brian Aldiss OBE, part of his effects at the time of his death on August 19th 2017. This is authenticated by a slip enclosed with the book, signed by the Literary Executor of his estate. Also enclosed in the book is a type-written tribute to Gerald J. Whitrow given by J. T. Fraser at the Thanksgiving Service at Holy Trinity Church, South Kensington, London, on 27th September 2000.
