This offering is a vintage copy of Tim and the Brass Buttons - An Everyday Adventure Story written by Ruth Tooze and illustrated by Zhenya Gay. The book was published by Julian Messner Inc. in 1951 and appears to be a First Edition though it is not specifically stated as such. The price on the dust jacket flap is $1.50 . . . and the book has also been inscribed then signed by Ms. Tooze on the half-title page (To Lois . . .) The book is NOT an ex-library copy - and both the book and the dust jacket are in very good + condition. The book is 5 5/8" by 8 1/2" and has 63 pages with black-and-white illustrations throughout and larger print. "An easy-reading story valuable in social studies for learning the rules of safety - policemen are our friends - and proving that some things can't be bough - they must be earned. With adorable pictures by Zhenya Gay" Thank you.
