First UK Edition in First Issue dustwrapper. Publisher's original white cloth-backed grey paper-covered boards, spine lettered in gilt, black end-papers. With dustwrapper. A near fine copy (slightly pushed spine tips and a couple of bumps to the corners. The dustwrapper is a fine and fresh example priced 30s net to the inside flap with absolutely no fading whatsoever to the fugitive pink spine. Inscribed by the Author to the title page: "To Harry/ from/ Ian". This copy has been in a private collection for more than 20 years. The identity of "Harry" is most likely to be Harry Saltzman the co-producer of the first 9 Bond films and this was certainly the understanding of its former owner.
