Kahn (1929-1982) was the architect behind the Hancock Tower (later Sears Tower) in Chicago. His essay in this volume: "On Some Special Problems of Analysis and Design of Shear Wall Structures" (pp. 321-344) with discussion on pp. 345-347. Highly technical.
