Light wear and creasing to jacket, chips along edges; faint soiling to cloth; minor worm damage at margin of text block, not affecting text. Paper age toned. Very good. INSCRIBED "For Charles Brown" and signed by Howard Browne at the 'By the Same Author' page. . Ink ownership marks of previous owner on front free endpaper. Private detective Paul Pine investigates the death of a colleague and is embroiled with the wealthy Delastone family. Very scarce signed.
