Stead's own copy, filled with copious annotations, along with a 2-page manuscript poem, "The Sweet Miracle," in Stead's hand, with variant text; accompanied by two lengthy autograph letters from Edmund Blunden, October 3, 1920, and August 23, 1921, to Stead, approximately 500 words, discussing Stead's meeting with W.B. Yeats, as well as a careful analysis of "The Sweet Miracle," which Blunden called "magnificent. I can't think of any religious narrative, in verse, which has moved me so much." Blunden also discusses the role and responsibilities of the poet in society; unpublished. A unique copy with a distinguished provenance.
