About this Item

Top-edge of book and the head of the spine are very worn and frayed. The dust jacket is worn at the spine ends and corners, with a couple of edge tears. Inscribed and signed by the author on the front free endpaper: "To Bennett Black, cordially, David Westheimer." First novel for the Houston author, who is better known for Von Ryan's Express. Set outside Houston, the story combines elements of race, family, infidelity, uncontrollable passions, and tragedy.
