Philip Pullman - The subtle knife - First U.K. hardback printing - Scholastic Press 1997. Fine jacket priced £12.99. Near fine boards - light crease top of spine. Contents fine - no previous owner names or inscriptions . Has the number line 1 - 10 but missing the number two - lot of debate as to whether this was a publishing error but many firsts have this. Uniquely signed and lined for me at an event before the series became massive - author rarely adds anything now besides a date. Line is ; " Maintain the boundaries of your world " If you have read the book the meaning of this line is an integral part of the Northern lights story . With the new TV lavish series of Northern Lights coming this Autumn , interest will gather further momentum in Pullman’s classic trilogy.P.
