This copy inscribed on the front endpaper, 'For Tom with admiration and thanks, Paul, Anne & Gretchen.' The inscription appears to have been written out by Paul, with Anne and Gretchen adding their signatures beside his, in different pens. A fine association copy - Lovejoy's work is mentioned in this book. This copy has a couple bookmarkers tucked inside at various pages, indicating sections that Lovejoy flagged. This volume comes from the collection of Dr. Thomas Lovejoy, who was a passionate book collector as well as a renowned biologist.
