NY: Alfred A. Knopf, 1978. First edition. viii, 141pp. Orange boards backed with purple cloth; blind-embossed front boards; gilt spine titles; dust jacket. Mild sunning along tops of boards, else near fine in a very good jacket, unclipped, with several small edge chips and light fading to spine. Signed and inscribed by Thomas to the dedication page. Inscribed first edition of this collection of short stories by the New York-born writer Piri Thomas (1928-2011), noted for his successful autobiography Down These Mean Streets (1967), and for the influence he exerted on the Nuyorican literary movement.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.

We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports.
