Colour frontispiece of Patrick Moore who has flat signed the title page without dedication. The ink has smudged over onto the opposite page. Book is fine with no wear. This title is the fifth in Moore's series and coincided with a lecture tour around the time of his eightieth birthday. Various probes have been sent to Mars to look for signs of life. Here, Patrick Moore gives a graphic account of this work. Scarce in signed state. The covers will be protected with a new inert archival 100 micron sleeve which is removable.
