About this Item

A very scarce third printing of the first American edition [Reynal & Hitchcock New York (1947)], signed by author Arthur Miller directly on the title page. The book is in very good condition with age toning at the end papers and the edges especially noticeable but with no remainder marks, a tight and square binding, sharp corners, with no owner inscriptions or highlighting and no staining or marking. The dust jacket is only in fair condition, not price-clipped ($2.00), with missing pieces on the front panel and on the edges, with accompanying tears and creases. It is now protected (and, to some degree, held together) by an archival cover which is easily removable. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information. 83 p.
