Gelatin silver postcard. Illustrated with a photograph of the Freedom Statue by Jason Seley. Measuring 5�" x 3�". Modest wear and one corner with a small crease, about near fine. Keene, writing from the Majestic Hotel in Port-au-Prince, thanks Mr. and Mrs. Martin P. Rome[?], c/o Emerson Radio Corp. of New York City, for the purchase of a painting. He writes, "I hope my painting will become a living part of your home." Signed by Keene at the close. Paul F. Keene, Jr. was a Philadelphia-born African-American artist and teacher. He studied art in Haiti on a John Hay Whitney fellowship 1952-1954. Seller Inventory # 557046
