Scarce first work by arguably the best street photographer to grace Shinjuku. Katsumi Watanabe documented the nightlife (and denizens) of the Kabukicho area as an itinerant photographer, receiving a fee to take a picture, and to return the next day to hand over the print. Of course, he kept the negatives. This copy is inscribed by Watanabe and dated December 5, 1975. Wonderful work, all the better signed by the master photographer.
