Willie Jolley (born September 3, 1956, Washington, D.C.) is an author, radio host, speaker, singer and media personality. He is best known for his motivational best selling book, It Only Takes A Minute To Change Your Life. In 1999, he was named as one of the outstanding five speakers in the World by Toastmasters International and was also inducted into the 2012 Speaker Hall of Fame by the National Speakers Association. Jolley began his career as a solo vocalist, singing jingles for companies such as Pizza Hut, Oldsmobile, and Black Entertainment Television. His voice was featured in national TV and radio jingles. He was later fired from the job and went on to become a motivational speaker. Jolley has given motivational talks to multinational corporate houses for corporate training, leadership, motivation, team-building, and personal breakthroughs. He also hosts a regular show, Willie Jolley Show on SiriusXM. A setback is nothing but a setup for a comeback! The wisdom in these words can help lift you out of your low points in life and put you on the path to victory! *Have you ever had a setback? *Has life ever thrown you a curve ball? *Have you ever been knocked down by hard times? Willie Jolley, the author of the motivational bestseller It Only Takes A Minute To Change Your Life!, will inspire you to take action! In A Setback Is A Setup For A Comeback, Willie presents his "VDAD" formula (Vision, Decision, Action, Desire) for overcoming life's constant challenges. He shares his techniques for taking control of your destiny, using anecdotes and stories that will encourage you to focus and take action on your dreams-despite the adversities! You will hear from ordinary people who refused to cower in the face of hardships, and found opportunities in unlikely places. There are humorous insights ("sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug") and practical methods (Need to rid yourself of negative thoughts? "Face it, trace it, erase it, replace it!"). Using Willie Jolley's 12 simple strategies (as outlined in the VDAD formula) you will have the tools to turn your trials into triumphs, your problems into possibilities, and your setbacks into comebacks! The book explains play by play what to do when you get knocked down and you need a pick me up. Although his book is informative, it seemed a little redundant. Several of his points I had already learned from past experiences and family members. But Jolley did point out some key ideals that are important to consider. "We all have seen intelligent people who have misused their intelligenceIntelligence alone does not guarantee success." That is a very valid point; intelligence is virtually pointless if you are unable to properly communicate your thoughts. How is one able to pitch their ideas to a focus group if they cannot socialize? The author also shares his thoughts on looking back on the past. "The past is supposed to be a place of reference, not a place of residence! There is a reason why your car has a big windshield and a small rearview mirror. You are supposed to keep your eyes on where you are going, and just occasionally check out where you have beenOtherwise you are going to crash!" People often dwell on the mishaps of the past and forget to cherish the blessings that lie ahead. First Edition [Stated], First Printing [Stated]. …
