Two volumes (complete), 8vo., green boards and cloth with paper spine label printed in black; a touch of soiling. First edition, profusely illustrated. A presentation copy, inscribed by Lewis to Josephine Jewell Dodge. Deeply interested in the child-care needs of working mothers, Dodge (1855-1928) was the founder of the Association of Day Nurseries of New York City and served as the first president of the National Federation of Day Nurseries. A wonderful presentation copy.
