Item description from seller

First edition, second printing, inscribed by Graham on the front free endpaper: "To Meyer Willett with the regard of Benj. Graham October 1935". Willett, whose joint bookplate with his wife, Frances, is on the front pastedown, was a governor of the New York Security Dealers Association. He was a senior partner at the Wall Street over-the-counter firm Bristol & Willett. The foundational text of value investing, Security Analysis is among the most influential investment books of the century. Inscribed copies are rare: Rare Book Hub records only three others at auction. The front panel and front flap of the very scarce jacket are loosely inserted. Dennistoun & Goodman 492. Mark Rubinstein, A History of the Theory of Investments, 2011. Octavo. Charts and diagrams in text. Original black cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Housed in a black cloth solander box. A few instances of pencilled sidelining. Worn at extremities, with faint marginal staining: a sound copy.
