The author has inscribed this volume on the half-title page in ink. There is also a previous owner's signature on the first front free end paper, otherwise, there is no other writing in the book and the pages are clean, bright and without rips or tears. However, the page edges are darkened and lightly soiled. The tan boards are clean with blue lettering and decorations on the spine cover. The spine ends are soft and a bit frayed. The dust jacket is present but shows multiple tears, folds, small paper loss, and while the upper right corner of the front flap has been cut, the price is located on the lower right corner of the front flap. There are approximately 51 short writings included in this 355 page volume. Authors include, but are not limited to, Anthony Anable, Chester Bowles, Christopher Morley, William Taylor, James Thurber, Carl Weagant, and Harry A. young.
