4to. Limited edition. No. 18 of 50 copies. Quarter quarter white buckram, gilt, with marbled-paper boards. Top edge gilt. Signed on the title page. Illustrated by the author. The back board has a small patch of discolouration, otherwise fine. 'The need [for a Byzantine architectural guide to the Eastern Mediterranean] is great, for the traveller, reasonably familiar with Gothic and Romanesque, may well find himself hopelessly at sea in Orthodox lands.' Uncommon.
