Item description from seller

Fine copy of the author's first collection following the publication of Simple Objects in 1993. The collection of 18 poems is here published together with poems by Gael Turnbull and Nicholas Johnson as 'etruscan reader 1'. A sharp unread copy which has been signed by Helen Macdonald on the title page without inscription. Very scarce as a signed first edition. All the poems collected here were later included in Shaler's Fish which was issued 4 years later.
