Pages are all bright lime green. First page has portrait of Charles Baudelaire. On the backside, Whitten has signed and inscribed the book in black pen: "For ------ / Je te donne es vers --- / because you have helped / me so much on my writing / (The two novels I had under contract this year, alas, fell / through -- ten years of work) / May you have no "sad / madrigals" in your life, / only happy waltzes -- as / I'm still trying to do. / Best to you and yours / Hunter." (Leslie Hunter Whitten). Binding is tight. Pages are all clean and crisp. 66 pages. Some illustrations. Whitten was an American investigative reporter, and had a reputation for his horror fiction - Stephen King has listed Whitten's Progeny of the Adder on the list of essential horror novels that appears in his book Danse Macabre. This is copy of only 350 produced.
