This dedicated copy has been signed by the author of the front paste down. The price clipped dust wrapper is in as new condition. Michael Kelly, a Yorkshireman of mixed irish and Scots descent was born in Sheffield in 1812. He was a schoolmaster, writer and broadcaster on country life, and a minor authority on the Peak District of Derbyshire. Many of these poems have appeared in periodicals, but this is his first volume. Some of the verses were written between 1940 and 1945 while he was serving in the Royal Navy. Ref HHH 2.
