Item description from seller

8vo. Stapled wrappers. [16pp.]. An uncommon offprint of an interview with Rakosi, this copy signed by him with an inscription to Andrew Crozier, 'my friend & resuscitator'. In the interview, Rakosi explains how he decided to start writing poetry again, after a lapse of over two decades, because of a letter he received from a young Crozier. 'He said that he had run across my name in an article by Rexroth, had looked up my work in magazines, and copied every single poem I had written. He had made a bibliography and wanted to know whether I had written any more. Well, the thought that somebody his age could care that much for my work really touched me; after all, there were two generations between us. And that's what started me.' Outwardly somewhat spotted and toned, creased to the upper corner, and the staples a little rusty internally.

Test Centre Books is an online seller of printed and archival materials, particularly books and periodicals. Founded in 2014, we specialise in the British Poetry Revival, the Mimeograph Revolution, and linguistically innovative poetry, although we retain an interest in the underground arts in general. Twice a year we issue a catalogue of new acquisitions, often devoted to the work of a single author. More information is available on our website.
