Edition limited to 40 numbered copies signed by author and artist, this copy inscribed by the author to the poet David Gascoyne, "To David with my fondest love Jeremy"; with the David and Judy Gascoyne library book-label. Loosely inserted is an autograph picture postcard signed (stamped and franked: William Morris, "Snakehead") from Reed to Gascoyne, [21 May 1981]. "I do hope you both enjoy the week in Paris," he writes, "and that you are fêted as the great poet you are dear David. All of the young people whom I have told to read your work, write to me with unbounded enthusiasm for it; something which warms my heart.".
