"Murray is an acute observer of nature, of social convention, of life. Won over by beauty and the lure of words, her style remains captivatingly simple. Simplicity goes beyond semantics, it enters the poems sinews, takes hold of them and returns in fresh, brief stanzas; a happy reminder of Emily Dickinson. Murray toys with the senses. Her poems are soft and inviting, intimate and provocative, sweetly delivered poetry “on the wings of angels.” —Professor Miguel Angel Iglesias, Forge of Words, In a Fragile Moment: Landscape of Canadian Poetry
"Gail M. Murray explores the worlds of nature, travel and love with the heart of a romantic and the skill of a wordsmith." —Bonnie Thomson, Another Cup of Hot Apple Cider
"In this wonderful book of poems, Gail creates with her gentle, evocative brush, strokes that flow with ease across the pages. In her lines, sensual adventures unfold for the observer. She invites the reader along ancient mornings and evenings to wander cobblestone walkways and flower-laden verandas, while stray cats meow on steps once traveled by centuries of peasants and foreign languages." —Patrick Meade, Wooden Bridges and Other Realms and Lemon Pies
