Inscribed by Rawls on the front free-endpaper. Hinges a little loose, binding a bit shaken, but intact and holding, light rubbing to extremities. Toning and foxing to endpapers, more so to pastedowns, ownership inscription to verso of initial blank. Dustjacket worn with chips and tears to extremities, and a bit rubbed, but nonetheless bright. An inscribed first edition of this work on human magnetism, spiritual healing, and the "science of the laying on of hands.".
