In 1960, Alfred A. Knopf published RABBIT, RUN, the second novel from young author John Updike. This is the true first edition of this book, signed by John Updike on the flyleaf. This is a particularly nice copy of this rare and important book. As you'll see in the photos, there is only the very slightest wear to the dust jacket top and bottom spines. The binding is in Fine confition. There is one problem -- the price has been clipped from the top of the inner flap. (Why people do this -- and still do -- escapes me.) However, this is the true first state of the dust jacket. The entire book is covered with a Brodart wrapper. Why am I selling this book from my collection? I've owned it for more than thirty years, and I've taken great pleasure in being its caretake for all this time. (In addition to all of my other John Updike first editions.) But my wife and I are looking to move to smaller quarters in the next year or so. I also like the idea of passing on the opportunity of owning an important title like this to another collector, so it can enjoy a whole new life with that person. Please contact us with any questions you might have about this item -- we'll gladly answer them. As always, BindingDeals offers a full money-back guarantee for any reason provided -- the only thing we ask is that the buyer pays the postage for the return shipment.…
