The author emigrated from Sweden to Minnesota where he succeeded as a banker, here recounts his experiences as an immigrant as well as his trip back to Sweden, but concentrates the majority of this work to his role as ambassador to India, particularly his travels around that country and to Egypt as well. Attached to the front free end paper is a presentation flyer signed by the author and dated November 1891. Red stamped cloth, gilt lettering on the spine. Very good condition.
