Historical Essays and Line Drawings by author and artist Glydys Worden Crum. In her 80's, Crum and her husband embarked on an adventure to discover the west by traveling the smaller "blue" roads on the map, crisscrossing to historical spots in the western United States. They met friendly local folks, mountain men, cowboys, native Americans, many descendents of the original western pioneers, all with stories to tell, full of historical facts. They traveled Indian trails where tribes still practiced their customs and rituals. The images and stories contained in this book reveal a great adventure and a great nation.
